Burning calories – for hungry orphans in Kenya

Our friend and long-term supporter Andreas Timpert is running yet another marathon for our kids. His goal is to fundraise 4.219 CHF while running the 42.19Km. Lets support this great initiative and help him reach his goal. Here is a note from Andreas:

„Dear friends and colleagues,

As a lot of you know, I am heading for completion of my six Marathons on six Continents ambition when I run the Outback Marathon in Australia on July 30th this year.

Again, I am aiming to collect money for a Charity that is close to my heart: School4Life.

This charity is a school and orphanage in Western Kenya and yet it is much more than that. For 800 children, for teachers and other employees, but also for the community it is an opportunity to have a better life than their parents. I strongly believe that by providing education to these great children, we are making a difference in a world of inequality.

Therefore, I ask you for your support! While running my final 42,19 km, I would like to collect 4219 Euros for Kimilili. During this last run I will burn around 2’500 calories, the equivalent of 20 Ginger Ales (which I could die for!). These 20 Ginger Ales (worth 100 CHF in Switzerland) will provide enough calories to feed 600 orphans for one day in Kenya. Will you support us?

If I reach my donation campaign, we will have collected enough calories for over 25’000 meals!

Thanks a lot for your support and look out for updates!

Andreas“

In the name of our 800 orphans – thanks for your support!
