We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our Kindergarten project at School4Life. Our primary objective has been to ensure that children aged 3-5 are well-prepared, both cognitively and emotionally, for their journey into primary school.
The early years of a child’s life are filled with remarkable growth and development. At School4Life, we have nurtured this crucial period by providing daily activities that stimulate young minds and capture their interests. Through engaging art projects, games, and songs, we have fostered a love for learning in our children. Our holistic approach focuses on their physical, spiritual, social and mental growth, facilitated by meaningful interactions with parents and the community. Our core areas of concentration include health, nutrition, care, and basic education.
The safety, health, and well-being of our children have always been our top priority. We have created a calm and secure child-friendly environment, free from risks, where children can freely explore, play, and learn under the guidance of our experienced team.
In recent years, Kenya has made significant progress in preschool enrollment, with nearly 74 percent of children aged 3-5 now attending preschool. However, challenges still exist, particularly in gender disparities. Economic factors often lead parents to prioritize enrolling their sons over their daughters, as they struggle to afford school uniforms for both. Additionally, safety concerns and long distances prevent some parents from enrolling their daughters in preschool programs far from home. Furthermore, young girls are sometimes kept at home to provide childcare for their younger siblings.
At School4Life, we have been able to provide free education to the most vulnerable members of our community—children who would otherwise have limited access to education. We are proud to have offered preschool education to approximately 150 children, making a positive impact on their lives and giving them a strong foundation for future learning.
