In the name of our children in Kimilili we would like to wish you:
A festive season and a fantastic 2019!
2018 was an incredible year for School4Life’s work in Kimilili – due to your support!
Thank you for being part of it!
Additional land has been purchased to comply with the requirements of the Ministry of Education, of which some has been turned into agriculture land to support with a healthier lunch program.
Our Special Needs School has been improved in order to further support our sweet children and a motorbike was bought to transport children that would otherwise not be able to come to school.
Finally, our Leavers Program has been running successfully and 20 kids have undergone their first year of university or college. Here is a message from one of our children: „We are done with exams and I am now home mum, I want to thans you for the great support from both Kimilili and Switzerland team for their great help for my education.“
Thank you for your support and your trust in our work.
Three new co-operations
We are very happy and proud to announce three new co-operations to support our children in Kimilili. One of the big 5 consulting companies will be sending 10 volunteers every year and support with some of our ambitious infrastructure projects to further improve the quality of the school.
Circles Network CEO Mandy Neville travelled to Kimilili to evaluate how best to provide optimum support for the children, most of whom have not previously been in education.
Finally, we are very grateful for the support of Preisig AG who will support the Kimilili community with a borehole in order to also have clean ground water even during the dry season.
In September, School4Life celebrated its 7th anniversary. It is becoming a wonderful tradition to celebrate with all our friends and enjoy once more the delicious food sponsored by St. Peter Restaurant and drinks from Landolt Weine while learning about how School4Life continues to support the Kimilili community.
Thanks to our generous sponsors we raised 5.000 CHF that will go towards the Special Needs School.
ASANTE SANA – Thanks for your constant support!
